Neil, dunno if the FMECA was meant to be part of the first question (just some type of risk assessment!). I did some bastardised version of the FMECA, hope it cuts the mustard.

ALARP is mentioned once in the course.. it just says "ALARP" and then I've handwritten As Low As Reasonably Practicable beside it. I think it may be mention later once actually but that's just to expand the acronym again. Bit dodgy to set a 20 marker on it. But really those essay questions are just to get you talking.. I spraffed a fair bit. Including a story about someone I know who broke his toe in a shoe polisher and a footnote that said "Turn the page for the (exciting?) conclusion". Flirting with Chris via exam scripts? Never!

Most of the stuff I wrote was more common sense than SCS to be honest... I did Q 1,2,4. It was better than some of the past papers (no FMECA, phew.. although if Q2 was actually asking for FMECA then I'm in trouble. And you've said Q1 used FMECA but I didn't do that). *shrug* I spraffed a lot.. it's up to Chris to mark it how he sees fit now. Should be a pass though.
